How To Have True Wealth
Have you ever wondered what it means to have true wealth? Is it a sprawling Mansion, a 100 foot Yacht or is it the latest Luxury Car?
The truth is… in today’s society wealth is dictated to us by the images we see. Whether it’s on the big screen or on the internet, we all have an idea of what wealth is. This perception causes many of us to buy more things than we need, or spend more money than we actually have in order to fill up a void. But what if our concept of wealth is all wrong?
What If?
What If?
Imagine that you have 7 Million Dollars in your account! Pretty cool …right? But what if you were told that your health is deteriorating? All of a sudden that money doesn’t seem so important. Or what if you lived in your dream home with the perfect job, but couldn’t find real love. Having money without our health or someone to love becomes meaningless.
Therefore, you would agree that achieving true wealth is really a balance in life. In order to experience it, happiness, health, love, and money all need to be aligned. So how do we attract this? I know there are numerous books and articles on how to get rich, but I would like to share with you a different perspective on becoming “truly wealthy”- THE MIND!
Thought Process
Thought Process
Everything we experience begins and ends with our thoughts! In order for us to attract true wealth into our life, we need to shift our ideas and belief system. For example, if I wanted to attract more money, I would begin viewing it in a positive way. Condemning those who have it by calling them filthy rich, sends out a mixed signal to my subconscious mind. The brain receives a conflicting message of “I want this, but it’s bad.” Almost like pressing the gas pedal and brake pedal at the same time and expecting the car to move. Our subconscious mind responds to us like a loyal soldier, therefore, we need to direct it with positive thoughts.
The truth is, we all have a fundamental right to be rich, healthy and happy. When we understand how powerful our subconscious mind is, we can begin to use it as a wonderful tool to attract things. One way to guide our subconscious mind is by reading Daily Affirmations. You may have seen movies with top executives prepping in front of a mirror, before big presentations, in order to ensure success. For the past 15 years, I have been using affirmations to attract money, improve my health, and help others find love. Here is my daily affirmation to attract wealth:
“I am one with the infinite riches of my subconscious mind. Money flows to me freely and endlessly. I am forever conscious of my true worth, and I give of my talents freely. I am wonderfully blessed financially”
Balance
Balance
Having too much of one thing often leads to imbalance. If your sole focus is making money, you could find your health affected or lack of quality time with your family. Similarly, going through life just having fun could lead to struggles in making ends meet. Thus, we have to find the right balance. So how do we get there?
Having True Wealth is creating that Balance. It begins with living a joyful life. Being Happy (which is a temporary feeling) and Living with Joy (which is a state of mind) are not quite the same. Finding activities that bring us great pleasure releases the endorphins in our brain that produce real joy. This in turn helps us lead long and healthy lives. Similarly, taking care of our body is part of creating that balance. We were given this one machine and we need to make sure it operates smoothly. Additionally, life is most meaningful when surrounded by people we love. Investing time and effort into building close relationships is a vital part of our well being. Now that we understand the importance of balance, let’s dive into how to attract financial wealth!
Pay Yourself!
Pay Yourself!
I remember reading a story back in 2007 that changed everything for me! In the early 90’s Jim Carey was a young 29 year old actor. Like many before him, who came to Hollywood in search of making it big, he found himself broke and struggling. One night, while driving up the Hollywood Hills, he began envisioning what it would feel like to be a successful actor. He wrote himself a Check for $10 Million Dollars for “Acting Services Rendered,” post dated it for 5 years and tucked it away in his wallet. This powerful combination of envisioning and writing down his goal allowed him to set the forces in action. Five years later, on Thanksgiving of 1995, Carrey found out he was cast in the movie “Dumb and Dumber.” The paycheck he was set to earn was…you guessed it- $10 Million Dollars!
That year my husband and I decided to try this out! We wrote ourselves a check and placed it on our vision board. We didn’t write down a crazy amount, but WAY MORE than the previous year’s income. I must admit, we were shocked at how close we got and have continued this tradition every New Year’s Eve!
I should also mention that when you set new goals for yourself, opportunities may arise along the way that could change or alter the course you are on. If they arise….approach them with an open mind, as it may be the Universe’s way of aligning you with what you asked for! And lastly, don’t be afraid to hustle! Drive and passion can be a wonderful motivation.

Build a Future
Build a Future
I will be the first to admit, knowing when to spend and when to walk away had always been difficult for me. My thinking was…we only live once, so why not enjoy life? Reality kicked in when we moved into a new house. Only then did I realize how much junk we accumulated. While sorting through everything, I decided that “I had enough stuff.” Looking back, we sure could have used that extra cash toward building a future! A strong financial foundation is the key to having true wealth. For most of us the decision to save seems difficult. It is much easier living in the moment! My motivation to start saving came from realizing that freedom comes from Financial Stability!
So how can you begin the process? The wonderful thing about making a change is that you can start at any point in your life. The shift begins within your mind! It might seem like $5 here or $20 there can’t possibly amount to anything…but over a year’s time you would be amazed at how much you can save! Keeping a small journal of what you spend each month can give you a CLEAR idea of how much that daily Starbucks or those little shopping sprees add up to.
Once you make the decision to begin saving, the next step is to put it into action. The fact is, most of us are making purchases on the spur of the moment. Statistics show that 75-84% of Americans shop impulsively, to the tune of $5,400 a year! So how can you avoid falling into that trap. I recommend the 24 Hour Rule! By waiting 24 hours, whether it’s online or in a store, you can reduce impulsive shopping. You will be surprised at how many times you will end up passing on the purchase and walking away!
Create a Vision Board
Create a Vision Board
Once you set the intention to start saving, then next step in having True Wealth is activating your “Imagination.“ Now the fun begins! Start collecting pictures of the things you desire to do with that extra money. You see, “money” is a Symbol of Exchange. What we do with it is entirely up to us! Think of all the things you would like to experience if you had more financial abundance. Create a board where you can attach pictures or magazine cut outs of anything you desire.
Always wanted your own Business? Create your logo & drawing of what it would look like and add it to the board. Dream of visiting Italy, like me, then include pictures of the exact places you want to see. If a new car is what you desire, include a picture of it as well! Wait, don’t stop there, if you would like to find true love, print out pictures of couples. Still struggling with your weight, then add a picture of your ideal body up on the board. You will be amazed at how the Law of Attraction will begin to align you with opportunities to meet your goals. Finally, if you meditate regularly, use that time to envision what it would feel like to have these goals become a reality! If have always wanted to start, I now have short guided meditations available on my YouTube Channel.
